Here we go, the final leg! I'm 29 weeks this week and I have no idea where the time went. I'm definitely not counting down, I have had a wonderful pregnancy and I still have SO much to do before he comes. I'm sure I will get to a point where I don't want to wait anymore, but for now I'm trying to enjoy everything about being pregnant and what a miracle it is.
We had such a fun weekend with Tyler's dad Rod in town from Oregon. My mom, Tegan, and Christine came out on Saturday and helped prime and put a first coat in the nursery, and I love the color! It's a creamy yellow, I'll put some pics up after we get the 2nd coat on. I can't wait to get the baby furniture in too. So fun!
We had a field trip today (UMFA and Clark Planetarium) and any of you parents that have helped on a school field trip can back me up: they wear you out. You would think it would be an easier day because I'm not teaching, but there's something about taking 24 kids in public all day and making sure they are safe and taken care of that is fun but tiring. We had a great time and made it back with no lost children. But now, I'm here at school and needing to get so much done, and I don't want to do a thing. So I'm going to do a tag I've been wanting to get to but haven't had time (thanks for the chance to take a break Katie, I loved reading yours). Anyone else who would like to do it, go for it.
20 years ago: I was 5 years old going to kindergarten at Neola Elementary in Ms. Scott's class. She had a whistle hanging around her neck and blew it when we were in trouble. She's my inspiration as a teacher. ha. My biggest worries were if I was going to like what was for dinner or not, and if my bike would get a flat tire on the way home from school. I had the best childhood!
10 years ago: 15 years old, sophomore in high school. At this point, I was counting down the days until I was 16 and could date/drive (I would have had exactly 4 months left!). I would be practicing every day after school for softball after taking my only season off during all 4 years of h.s. sports, my sophomore basketball season. I also would have been driving to Provo twice a week for club vball. I remember thinking how busy my life was. But I loved my high school years and made so many great memories.
5 years ago: March 2003, I would have been feeling very sore, tired, and in shape as we went through spring training before my senior season of vball at the U. Spring was not a fun time to be a fall athlete. But, in March we would have been playing a couple tournaments at least which makes it more enjoyable. I also got accepted into the elementary ed. program at this time.
3 years ago: Ah, the early newlywed days. Everything revolved around being married! (still does, but when it's new it seems to consume you instead of being second nature). I was finishing up my student teaching in Salt Lake, getting ready to graduate from the U, and interviewing for jobs. We lived in the littlest basement apartment EVER in the avenues of Salt Lake and couldn't have been any happier.
1 year ago: Living in a little bigger apartment in the avenues, in my second year of teaching here at Knowlton, Tyler getting ready to graduate from the U. Thinking about babies, but not telling anyone :) Looking forward to summer break.
This year: The biggest year of our life! Got pregnant and bought a house, in that order. We moved from our beloved avenues family to Farmington, which is feeling more like home all the time. We have been so blessed.
Yesterday: Had fun teaching school (the kids were so good!), went home for lunch with Tyler and his dad before Rod took off to go back to Oregon. It's so nice living within walking distance to school! Tyler had the day off, so after school he came over to walk me home. A lady called about our ksl ad (we're selling our portable dishwasher from our old place) and wanted to see it, so Tyler spent a couple hours switching out our old one with our new one to get it ready for her to look at. I kept him company and cleaned up after him, we make such a good team :) He does all the work and I watch. We watched the end of "Biggest Loser Couples" as we finished up, took the new pregnant pictures, ate leftovers, got I am Legend from redbox, and went to bed around 12. Perfect day. I love it when he has work off.
Tomorrow: It's pajama day at school! I am SO looking forward to that. I wish I could wear my jams all day everyday, and if I were just a little lazier I would feel justified because of the pregnant thing. So that should be fun, and then I'll stay late to plan next week so I don't have to worry about school during my spring break. It really shoudn't be called spring break, because we only get Friday off. I really could use a week break right now! But I'll take a day over nothing. I'll go do some walking and biking at the gym since Tyler works until 9, so he'll get home and we'll eat dinner and probably watch another movie to celebrate my day off. I love my life!
Here are just a couple more belly pics for those who haven't seen me in a while -
I can't belive how big I am! And 2 months left!

Pregnancy definately agrees with you. It sounds like your enjoying every minute of it. And these next two months will fly by. We should get together if your schedule is open for lunch oneday.
Wow sis, that little guy is sure growing!!! You look great pregnant! How lucky is that little guy to be coming into your family! You'll be such a good mom and Tyler is the kind of dad every boy would want. I love you two and I'm so happy with all your success and happiness!!! Hope to see you some time!
I had pneumonia and Jeff had shoulder surgery. He had to have it scoped. We don't know what he did to it. But he is healing slowly but surely. It's definately been an interesting month!
