Summer's Post

I loooove summertime and we have had such a great one so far. I know I'm going to just savor it that much more once the kiddos are in school 9 months out of the year. I'm still avoiding thinking about Cole starting kindergarten and missing him in the mornings...mostly feeling excited for him to experience school and all that it entails. Kate going to preschool is going to be weird too. Big changes coming up!

We love celebrating free Slurpee day every year...this is before the red shirts and faces.

It's so great being so close to Lagoon, we live literally 4 minutes away. We let the kids get wet in the huge fountain right before we go home and Tyler jumped in with them this day. He can go from 31 year old to 5 year old in a heartbeat. I love that guy.

For my birthday we went to the rodeo! It was fun, but big city rodeos just don't feel the same. The best part was having Rod, Lisa, and Eva drive out from Oregon and surprise me!! It was so great of them.

Love me some German chocolate cake every year!

It was such a great anniversary this year, mom took the kids for a day and we headed to Park City for a getaway. I still can't get over the fact that I get to be with my best friend all the time, I'm the luckiest girl! We try to get to the temple each year on the day we were married and do sealings, it's always the best part of the day. We also get a picture in this same spot each time. I love traditions.

This was a fun day, it started POURING and it happens so rarely around here that each time the kids get so excited and run out and go crazy, clothes and all! I love seeing them enjoying the moment and just being kids.

Here's Luke's hair before his trim last week.

Parker, Jenn, and the boys are in town for the month and we couldn't be more excited. It's awesome for Cole and Kate to get some cousin time, I just wish they lived closer! Mom planned this great Grandma Camp for them and took them overnight to the cabin. They played in the river, did lots of arts and crafts, made smores, went hiking, and made so many great memories. I'm so grateful for such amazing grandparents for my kids.

Look at those adorable shirts!

This is at the end of the camp. Mom deserves an award!

They made the schedule and rule lists together.

Just loved having both of my lovely mommies with me on my birthday.

Love this guy.

Riding the train at Lagoon.

Learning to push the horn button on grandpa's tractor.

Dad, Tyler, and I ran the Neola Half Marathon on the 4th and we were all happy with our times :) It was Dad's first race with his new hip, and Tyler took 3rd place overall! He won $25! And then he won the biggest prize in the raffle, an entry into the St George Marathon in October. I was so proud of him!

Kate got a little face painting.

What a sweet boy!

They both had woken up from naps and were extra cuddly. I was in heaven.

We had a momma robin make her nest in our rose bush this year! It was so fun to watch them hatch and grow up.

Making cookies on her birthday! Such a sweet tooth.

Cole's spy birthday party! So much fun.

I'm 1 year old!

Bathtime is way more fun with balloons.

He had a great first birthday, loved the cake and did a great job of flinging it all over the kitchen.
They were little vultures just waiting to jump in at the end!

Our first campout this year. Hope we can get out some more before school starts!

Just a few more weeks to soak it all up!
